length/perimeter/width

 WALT: Focus on place value, and on comparing lengths, widths, and areas.

Last term we were working on Square skills and we had to draw squares and rectangles. We had to put the Perimeter (P) answers at the bottom of the question for an example:

P=21+2w

L=2x4 +6x2

p= 8 + 12

p= 20

Key: P = Perimeter (Around the outside of a shape)

l = length (How long something is)

w = width (How wide something is)

100 words in 10 minutes.

 WALT: Write at least 100 words in 10 minutes.

My task was to write at least 100 words in 10 minutes.  I chose to write about zombies.  I wrote 52 words so my next step would be to add more detail to my story so I can reach 100 words.

Once upon a time zombies attacked the world. I started running for my life.  I tried to hide but the zombies cornered me.  I looked for a way out and I saw a window above, but there was a zombie waiting for me so I jumped on the zombie.

readworks

WALT: make a read work poster.
  I have learned that Ecology is about nature and life. I have also learned that This toad is part of an ecosystem. An ecosystem is like a habitat where an organism lives, but it includes many habitats plus the nonliving systems that support them. In an ecosystem, each living thing depends on other living and nonliving things for survival. Insects find shelter and food on trees and in moss.

Build a Blog Comment

We were learning about how to build a blog comment by using a greeting, a positive comment and a question.

I found it easy to do the greeting.

I found it hard to write about what I loved.

I really enjoyed writing the question at the end because it was easy for me to come up with a question.

Next time I need to try and keep my work tidy.

Our task was to create and draw a Caricature. We had to draw our self-portrait in pencil and if the teacher was happy with it we had to go over it with a sharpy vivid. After that, we had to dye the background green, our faces our own skin tone, and then dye our eyes the right colour.

I liked how my hair stands out and looks good.  Next time I would like to improve on my eyebrows. What do you think of my Caricature?
