WALT: Focus on place value, and on comparing lengths, widths, and areas.
Last term we were working on Square skills and we had to draw squares and rectangles. We had to put the Perimeter (P) answers at the bottom of the question for an example:
P=21+2w
L=2x4 +6x2
p= 8 + 12
p= 20
Key: P = Perimeter (Around the outside of a shape)
l = length (How long something is)
w = width (How wide something is)
My Writing: Kia ora Awaroa my name is Boston and I’m a year 7 student from Paihia School. I enjoyed reading your post because I’ve never heard of this type of work. This reminds of when I learnt what the word area means.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you use more length/perimeter/width?
